Nelson Naturals Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use it?

Dip. Brush. Smile!

Nelson Naturals recommend dipping your brush directly in the jar to apply. Not only is this extremely easy to use but you can actually get it all out. Alternatively, you can use a small spoon to apply to bristles. Please re-cap the jar after use to prevent the product from drying.

My toothpaste is drying up / getting hard.

Nelson Naturals strive to provide you with the cleanest possible product free of any unnecessary emulsifiers, gelling agents or other filler. Leaving the lid on between use should prevent our product from drying. Should you find that our product has dried up, simply add some water and stir with a metal spoon. Start with only a few millilitres and add till desired consistency is reached.

What makes Nelson Naturals better than any other toothpaste?

Most brands use harsh chemicals like Sodium Fluoride and Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. These chemicals are highly toxic and if ingested it is recommend you contact poison control. Nelson Naturals uses only food grade ingredients.

The consistency of the paste changes over time is this OK?

Yes, absolutely. It will not go bad, but it might dry out if left out for an extended period. If this happens, just add a bit of water and stir!

What minerals are used?

Nelson Naturals use a liquid mineral Cconcentrate that is ionic and desalinated. It contains over 72 different naturally occurring minerals from the Great Salt Lake in Utah.

I have sensitive teeth, can I still use Nelson Naturals?

Yes - you may even find that you experience a decline in sensitivity after using Nelson Naturals.

Nelson Naturals always recommends that you encourage children not to swallow any toothpaste, just as a good habit. Nelson Naturals toothpaste is an ultra clean formula and they don’t use any toxic chemicals, fillers or artificial colourings like you will find in most other toothpastes! Nelson Naturals toothpaste is made with food grade ingredients and it up to the individual customers to decide whether or not they let their children swallow it. If you have any questions about a specific ingredient, Nelson Naturals recommend that you talk it over with your doctor/paediatrician/naturopath.

How old does my child need to be to start using Nelson Naturals?

Nelson Naturals toothpaste can be used in small amounts as soon your child has teeth! Nelson Naturals do not use fluoride or any other toxic chemicals that you would need to be worried about. If you have any concerns at all we always recommend discussing the ingredient list with your paediatrician or family doctor.
