Miod Botanical Balancing Face Oil is a truly organic face oil formulated to target sensitive and oily skin. Containing a high concentration of omega 6, known as linoleic acid, this oil will help repair, rebalance and restore the skins natural barrier. It has been documented that an imbalance in omega 6 can lead to overly sensitive and over oily skin. Miod Skincare combination of of organic and natural cold pressed oils, all chosen for their high concentration of omega 6 will help sooth, hydrate and rebuild the skins barrier while balancing out the skins oil production. Lightly scented with the natural smell of kakadu plum seed oil and passionflower seed oil. There are no essential oils in this botanical balancing face oil blend due to their concentrated properties that could potentially lead to irritation for those with overly sensitive skin.
Jojoba oil closely mimics the skin’s own sebum, making it an effective natural facial moisturiser. Because of its particular molecular structure applying this oil topically can help prevent the overproduction of sebum. It is also able to penetrate all the way down to the skin’s matrix, where is can ferry other active ingredients allowing them to do their best work. It not only helps balance the skin but has been proven to assist with sensitive skin issues including those suffering from dermatitis or eczema.
Passionflower oil, also know as maracuja oil is extracted from the seeds of the maraca plant. Passionflower is native to Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina. The oil cold pressed from the seeds is rich in essential fatty acids & protective antioxidants, namely omega 6, to soothe the skin, moisturise and rebalance. Its qualities also help to preserve collagen & elastin while protecting the skin from environmental aggressors. This oil is easily absorbed without clogging pores.
Kakadu plum oil, extracted from the seed of the kakadu plum - this oil not only smells amazing but has the ability to help regenerate and rebuild the skins barrier. It contains over 50% of omega 6 and is high in natural vitamin C effectively restoring balance to the skin while also protecting it.
Blackcurrant oil is a beautiful and exotic oil and it works to prevent and stabilise changes in the skin. High in omega 3 and omega 6 (GLA) this oil effectively nourishes and feeds the skin. Research suggests that GLA (gamma linolenic acid), an omega 6 fatty acid, helps fight inflammation and promotes healthy skin. It is widely used in the treatment and prevention of chronic skin conditions including dermatitis and eczema. Black currant oil also contains a multitude of other vitamins and minerals including all the B vitamins, calcium, magnesium, iron and Vitamin E.

After cleansing and toning, apply a couple of drops into the palm of your hand and pat evenly over the skin. Can also be added to your favourite moisturiser.
