How I cured my eczema

Approximately 4 months ago I noticed some redness around my eyes, especially around my left eye. Assuming it was something temporary, perhaps some sort of allergy, I didn't do anything about it and as the time passed the redness increased and I started noticing tiny white spots. I also do Bikram Yoga and have noticed the condition worsening after the class, due to extreme heat.

This time I decided to pay a visit to my local GP and I was surprised to be told that I had eczema. I had very little knowledge about it and did not know what the treatments are. I was given Hydrocortisone acetate cream (1%) and despite the fact that I don't like prescription medicine (as I am a big believer that all the answers are in plant based alternative medicine) I decided to give it a go, as by this stage the redness around my eyes was becoming painful.

Several days later, my conditions seems to have improved. the redness has reduced and I thought I was off the hook. Not quite! It's come back quicker than it disappeared and I was now annoyed. Every time I tried putting on make up it was akward, itchy and I could not even cover it. So back to the GP again for yet another consultaton.

I was advised to avoid cleansers which contain soap and I was given another cream (This time 'Kenacomb Ointment' ) to bring the condition under control and I was to maintain it on my own, ensuring lots of moisture around delicate areas.

I switched my cleanser for Acure Seriously Soothing Cleansing Creme and I used Acure Seriously Firming Facial Serum (packed with Borage Oil to soothe inflammation) and within just few days I was back to NORMAL. I would apply the facial serum approximately an hour before the bedtime to ensure a good absorption. I also alternate the facial serum with Acure Moroccan Argan Oil and that seems to work just fine. I never looked back. The eczema dissapeared within days and has not come back. Every now an then I notice a little bit of redness and I just apply a few drops of organic rosehip oil (which goes everywhere with me :) and that way I deal with it before it even comes back. The rosehip oil is great for hydration without it being greasy, so I can wear it over my make up and its not noticeable.

I felt the need to share this with our readers, as something as simple as this was thankfully treated with ease, yet it could have gone in a very different direction had I not tried the facial serum (or the sensitive cleanser). The prescription creams that I was given provided a temporary relief, however, they are not recomended for long term use, due to side effects such as thinning of the skin, brusing and discolouration of the skin, to name the few.

I hope this provides some help & hope to those that are suffering from eczema and have run out of options to try. I would definitely suggest you try a soap free facial cleanser and lots of moisture to the affected area. Acure Facial Oils are rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids and Acure Brilliantly Brightening Glowing Serum contains borage oil, which as mentioned earlier soothes inflammation.

Feel free to share your experience with eczema or similar condition and how you treated it. Others might find it useful.

Thank you for reading and have a great day!
